FAQs
Q: Why would I want to be a Courier?
A: Actually, the question should be “why not?” Truthfully, I can’t think of many other businesses that are so easy to get into, with minimal startup costs, and where you can make over £950 per week…
Being a self employed courier is a fantastic way to earn a considerable income on a daily basis. There is a great need for your service, and you can develop and grow your business to the level of your choice, at your own pace. I know, because I’ve done it (and I can show you how, also.)
Q: Tell me about a Courier’s Day
A: Certainly. The average working day of a courier is 6-8 hours; and like any other business, some days can be longer, and some shorter. You will be your own boss and be free to choose how many days and hours you work. Plus, if you follow the advice given in our CRV Courier Guide, it’s extremely well paid.
How well paid? Look at these standard rates:
- Edinburgh – Hull £274
- Glasgow – Birmingham £331
- Southampton-Leeds £298
- Norwich – Cardiff £313
- London – Plymouth £274
- Swansea – Luton £278
- Newcastle Upon Tyne – Bristol £339
- Plymouth – Manchester £334
The above examples are based on 70p per mile outbound & 45p per mile for a return load. These are the standard rates for car/small van couriers, and are based on carrying a single parcel only. And of you carry more parcels, you can make more money.
Our CRV Courier Guide gives you fast track access, so you can make this kind of money from the start.
Q: What happens after I have purchased the guide?
A: Unlike our competitors, we are not here to simply sell you our guide. We actually want to see you succeed, and will help you. Our package includes the CRV Courier Guide along with FREE advice and after-sales support, including internet and telephone support. Everybody gets this from us.
In addition, for a limited period we are offering 3 months full membership, where you will get access to weekly updates about which courier companies are actively looking for self employed couriers right now, in all areas of the UK. And you get full contact details for each company. This is real courier work, with 20-40 new opportunities added every week. We get this information because of our internal contacts within the industry, as well as actively searching on behalf of our members.
You will also get access to our private courier support forum, where you can post your own courier related questions and see the answers to other people’s questions. Plus you will have access to a download area where you can access various templates for business cards, leaflets, invoices etc; and special deals on short-term van leasing. It’s a great deal.
Q: What happens after my 3 months membership has finished?
A: Once your 3 month membership is coming to an end, we will contact you by email and offer you the opportunity to take out a further 12 month membership, for the set fee of £59.99. This works out to £5 per month, which is excellent value for money.
Q. Will I get work from CRV?
A. Not directly from us, but we will help you find work by supplying you with our comprehensive listing of 850 courier companies, from which you can obtain sub contract work. And as we mention above, we will also be updating members weekly of brand new work opportunities. This is real courier work, with 20-40 new opportunities added every week.
Q: What about the competition?
A: While there are many courier companies out there, they are your business partners, not your competition. These companies rely on freelance couriers (like you) daily. Indeed, several companies have offered us advice (which we include in the CRV Courier Guide) in this respect. They do this because it is in their interest that self employed couriers (like you) are well-informed.
And let’s say you go far and operate as a Courier Company yourself – you can still source work from larger courier companies in your area. Our guide will show how.
Q: How Soon Can I Start?
A: Almost as soon as you wish, really. Our customer feedback suggests that you could be attracting work within two weeks of ordering/using our CRV Courier Guide.
Q: And How Do I Get This Work?
A: We’ll do two things – we’ll show you where, and then we’ll help you get it. Unlike many others, our CRV Courier Guide is not simply an introduction to the industry. Instead, it will show you – in detail – how to get up and running and where to obtain work. Also remember that we provide an introductory letter and over 850 contacts to get you started, and provide full support for as long as is needed.
In addition, with full membership, you will get 3 months access to weekly updates about which courier companies are actively looking for self employed couriers right now, in all areas of the UK. And you get full contact details for each company. We get information because of our internal contacts within the industry, as well as actively searching on behalf of our members.
Q: Will There Be Work In My Area?
A: Almost certainly. As long as you have access to a large town or city, then there will be a need for self employed couriers. Many courier companies rely on self employed couriers and therefore work is in abundance.
If you are looking to start up a full Courier Company, this can be viable in most areas, although it will be more profitable in Industrial areas.
Q: Do I need special insurance?
A: Yes, you do. It’s called “courier use” insurance, and it is a legal requirement. But here’s something you’ll like: we will supply details of a little known “trade secret” explaining how to cover your insurance or road tax costs for nothing, and with no effort. That’s worth the price alone.
Q: Does the CRV Courier Guide cover Northern Ireland?
A: Indeed it does. Our manual includes Northern Ireland work contacts, and all of the information we offer is equally applicable to Northern Ireland (as well as the rest of the UK.)
Q: Can I Work Part Time?
A: Absolutely! In fact, many people start out this way. You can combine this opportunity with current commitments to boost your income or turn it into a full time career. Obviously, the more hours of availability, the higher the earning potential.
Q: I have heard the term “Specialist Courier”… what is a specialist courier?
A: Good question (you’ve done your research). And here’s the easy answer: The term “specialist courier” is really just another name for a self employed courier. There really is not much (if any) difference between a specialist courier, a freelance courier, a self employed courier, or a courier owner driver. However, sometimes the term “specialist courier” refers to a “same-day courier” as opposed to a “multi-drop courier”.
Q: What makes your company different?
A: Besides offering the best Courier Guide on the market, and first class after-sale support, we’re also a “real” company. Our phone number, office address, and e-mail address are right out in the open (unlike many competitors, we have no need to “hide”.) Our offices are staffed, and if you call during normal business hours, you’ll more than likely encounter a human voice. In this day and age, that counts for a lot, wouldn’t you say?
Q: What is your company registration number?
A: Our company registration number is 5900449, and we are registered as CRV Solutions Ltd.
Q: There are many scams out there on the internet, how do I know CRV isn’t one of them?
A: I want to point out that we do things honestly and ethically here. Now, I realise everyone will say theirs is “the best”. But here’s how I back that up: I have a real telephone number, answered by real people. I have a real office, and I put my face on my website. I’m not hiding behind an e-mail form that never gets answered. All I can say is “compare websites” and go with who you feel the most comfortable with.
